Scaling Up My Flute Performance

In my last blog, I detailed to you the importance of learning the story behind the music, which referenced my second goal of learning about the composers of the music I was going to learn for my first goal. For this blog, I thought I’d show you the progress I have made in my first goal. I wanted to learn two pieces. I learned “Poem” by Charles Griffes and Bach’s Sonata in E-Flat Major. Since I don’t have a recording of Poem or the third movement of Bach’s E-Flat Major Sonata yet, I would like to provide a recording of me playing the first and second movements of the Sonata in E-Flat Major by Johann Sebastian Bach.
